“I’ll have to phone our parents, of course, in Oklahoma. Won’t be the first time your substance abuse has wreaked havoc with their line dancing.”

Mycroft Holmes (Mark Gatiss), speaking to his younger brother (Benedict Cumberbatch) in a Season 3 episode (“His Last Vow”) on BBC-TV’s (justly popular) Sherlock.

PS Mark Gatiss also co-created the series with Steven Moffat. This contemporary spin on the vintage detective novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle works, against all possible odds, thanks to clever writing and an uncanny performance by the gifted Mr. Cumberbatch in the title role (who, undoubtedly, with typical British modesty, would probably say that he couldn’t do it without the support of the versatile Martin Freeman as John Watson).
